I'm free on either Saturday or maybe even Sunday to go for a ride and I haven't been up to the 518 yet this year.
Will probably hit up the best of Muskoka roads on the way up and/or swing over to Haliburton to ride some fun ones over there.

I'll probably pack a lunch and find a nice place to eat near a river or lake or something.
Ride will probably be from around 8am-6pm leaving Mississauga - maybe 800km or so.
Pace will be fun in the corners and responsible everywhere else (not for new riders).

Post up or PM if interested.
Cheers!

Hey Shane,

I could be in for Sunday depending on the weather.

I'm guessing this will be 100% pavement so I should switch wheels over to the PR4s for this?

Yes it would be all pavement - I'm on the PR4's too.
I'll know later today if I will be free on Sunday or not. I'm definitely good for Saturday right now.
Cheers!

most of the leaves are down, but the ride would still be nice, bit chilly so bring your heated vest....Ill be out on the Repsol too

I can probably do Sunday as well. Saturday the wife works and I have the kids. I'll just use the sport touring tires I've been using in the gravel all summer lol. So jealous of Mike having two sets of tires/rims. :)

h man. tempting. 800 kms might be too much for me though (never done that much distance with my heated gear) can you keep this thread updated? Sunday is preferred.

Ok Sunday it is then.
Meet up at the Tim's near 401/Hurontario for us in the south - 8am.
Meet up at the Tim's/Shell at 400/Innisfil Beach Rd - 9am.

I hope it's not too early for everyone - days are short.

Are you all good to just pack a lunch and we'll eat near a lake or something? There is a nice spot off Ravenscliffe Rd near Buck Lake here.

Here's an approximate route: https://goo.gl/maps/dgn53Bbm2tN2
800km is just a rough idea of round trip from Mississauga for me, but it's more like a 600km loop from the Innisfil meeting spot. If you have to cut off early, just ride to wherever you are comfortable with. We'll be taking breaks every 2 hrs or so as needed.

I like riding at this time of year - the roads are quiet and hopefully dry.

Bikes out away for the season or I would join you Shane.
Have a safe ride 518 is in great condition. There is a bit of gravel south of sprucedale on your way to Aspine road, they must be repaying, about 4-5 kms.

I should be good for 8 on Hurontario (it'll be a struggle, but I can do it).

I'm also okay with bringing a lunch.

Lots of gravel and repaving on Ravencliff the last time I was there (~2 mos ago). Hopefully it is done by now.

If it's easier to meet up near Square One area for 8ish, I'm fine with that too - we can just hop on the 403 from there. Just let me know where is good for you.
It's certainly going to be cool out tomorrow,- but at least it will be sunny.

Thanks for the heads up on the gravel - hope it's not too messy.

The location is not a problem, the time is difficult. I work the afternoon shift so I normally get up at 11 and sleep at 3, so dragging my ass out of bed at 7 is hard to do.

I'll just try not to drink much tonight and I should be able to wake up.

I'll be at Innisfil Beach rd for 9. I'll bring a lunch. I've got a spare velocity heated vest I'll bring in case anyone needs it. (It's battery powered)
Thanks for setting this up Shane, really looking forward to hitting up some northern roads with you guys.

Looking forward to this too. I'll also be bringing an extra pair of warmer riding gloves and some other stuff if anyone needs.
I'm gonna bust out the heated socks too:)

Enjoy the ride guys. I'm pretty sure I know where Shane is going to lead you and your in for a treat. I wish I had the time, but unfortunately I don't so enjoy on my behalf.

Damn, I'm out. Sorry guys, getting prepped last night and found out this morning I left the key on. Battery is dead. Have a great ride, hopefully it's not the last.

Sorry to have missed you Iceman and hope the battery is all good. It was a nice day out and hopefully it won't be the last one. There's usually a few nice days in November and if you are up for it, I still want to do a Calabogie and eastern Ontario ride before the season is done.

Good ride today Shane, although a bit on the chilly side.

I needed to test out my new phone's camera, so here are the two shots I took at the lunch spot.
