Huge Freestyle MX crash...

Yikes.. Glad it wasn't more serious.. I was surprised by the lack of crying for help or a phonecall to mommy :cool:
 
A mouth guard may have helped lol. Kudos on how calm he was.

Freestyle guys are a different breed that's for sure.

Went to school with a guy whose been doing it since he was 10 or 12.

They got a new steel ramp while he was in a wheel chair from a crash. He was begging his buddies to hoist him onto the bike so he could hit the new ramp.

I get shivers just walking up those things.

Some guys are racing with them. A mouth guard can also help prevent concussions too surprisingly.
 
I don't do FMX, but I do race MX every weekend I can... I wake up the day after a race weekend completely toast. Everything hurts, bruises all over the place, blisters on the hands, and a smile on my face. And I've had my share of crashes, and had a couple big scary near miss moments this past weekend. One was similar to this, hitting a 100' step up and only jumped 95' of it. I guess there's a reason nobody in my class was trying it. Got good helmet cam of it though.

Even with how hard it is on the body, I plan on doing this a long time.
