HP laptop replacement battery

Hi!

Need to replace a HP model dv6-1248ca laptop battery. Can get one from Canadatekk.com for $65. Or, BestBuy.ca for $85. Has anyone used either place for a replacement laptop battery? Purchased from elsewhere? Ideally, would prefer somewhere locally (Hamilton or surrounding area) where one could be picked up? Anyone know of a place?

Thanks in advance!

You can order them from China through ebay or aliexpress for less than half that price. ALiexpress usually has free shipping. I replaced my Asus battery and it works just like the original one

I have had good luck with Chinese laptop batteries on eBay myself, so +1 for going that route ... just make sure you know the OEM part number you actually need

Usually you can order from bestbuy.ca and pick it up at any best buy store.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions/recommendations. Not sure yet which route I will go; kind of need battery asap.

In the past, I had good success with no name China batteries for my old BlackBerry. I was skeptical because of the low price, but took the risk anyway cause it was so cheap.

Turned out to be the best battery I ever owned.

Try Canada Computers. They have 2 stores in Hamilton if I recall.

Thanks N3WMAN! I went to Canada Computers and purchased a laptop battery. Sure, I probably could have bought one online for half the price. But, it was needed asap.

Thanks again everyone for the input!

I used to stay away from cheap Chinese batteries, too. Until I had a few laptops from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and all kinds of other brands that had OEM batteries stop working just beyond the 1 yr warranty. Why pay almost $100 for a name brand one that will fail just as fast as the $12 Chinese one?
