Full course, doesn't matter where.

A few friends and I plan to do this around August next year, I'm wondering how much it would cost and if we made the event private, could we mix vehicles types (obviously, cars + motorcycles).

Why not just call and ask, You will get about as good of an answer that the people get that ask for insurance quotes.....

My bad, I just assumed some of the regulars would know.

It can vary a lot. Weekday versus weekend? Places like Shannonville you can rent out half the track (Nelson or Fabi) or the full track (Long or Pro). Half track is cheaper.

Mosport is expensive but its fully booked so that's a moot point. Calabogie is expensive.

It could be anywhere from $2500 to $5000. Or more?

We rented Shanny for 3 hours after 4:00pm on a weekday. It was just half of the track, I believe it was only a couple hundred per hour. This was 4 years ago though. Looks like its more now: http://www.shannonville.com/index.cfm?action=track.rates

I remember seeing Mosport rates a few years back and Caboose is right , it was quite expensive even on weekdays. You also have to factor in things like having an ambulance and corner workers. You can get away without it and we didnt have insurance either but if someone gets hurt you can be taken to court.

Word on the street, Bogie is about $10.000.00 and Mosport quite a bit over that per day.

One of my first track days we rented Shannonville for about $1500.00 full track for the whole day.... Wow, I feel old all of sudden... :(

for insurance reasons, i don't think you can mix cars and motorcycles.

I heard $10k for 'bogie. Sounds about right at $240 a day and about 30 riders per session.

GBM is between $2000-2500 for a weekday (9am to 5pm 1hr lunch), $1000-1500 for a evening rental (Mon - Thurs) or 1/2 day rental (Mon - Fri) 4 hrs track time (don't have many weekend dates available only early season or late season so I didn't price those). Our insurance allows you to mix cars and bikes on the same day just not in the same session obviously - the rental includes insurance for up to 12 riders on track at once, so if you are doing 3 - 20 minute sessions per hour that means you can have 36 riders in total if doing each session the entire day - you can have more riders and have them alternate in, you just can't have more than 12 on track at one time (we can purchase additional insurance to increase this number to a max of 20 on track at once if required) The rental includes two personnel - one control person, one overall head marshall - additional costs are - ambulance onsite $50/hr and marshalls - you can provide your own marshalling or we can provide at $100/marshall per day - ($90 plus $10 lunch) - (cost is $45 for the 4 hr rentals) - the number of marshalls needed depends on the configuration used maximum would be 4 additional.
