I've had to replace my timing rotor and I need to turn the rotor a few times to get to the pickup. Is there an issue if I turn it fully like 5 times over time?
Okay will do. However is the reason that it was harder to turn mean anything?
From this end of the internet, I can't tell why your engine is hard to turn. I can't tell if you are feeling a compression stroke from well-sealed piston rings (good), or feeling resistance from the valve springs as the rotation of the engine is pushing the valves open against the springs (normal), or if you are feeling an incorrectly assembled internal part or an incorrectly timed camshaft pushing a valve against a piston (bad), or if you are feeling a foreign object dropped into the engine jamming itself into the timing chain (bad).
A certain amount of judgment and feel is necessary here. I can't see and feel what you are doing.
Not much if you're on the compression stroke. You should notice an inconsistent feel as you turn it over. If it's getting harder, and stays hard, that's a problem.
nonono. i used an impact wrench on the flywheel(to install it). However after I did that it was harder to hand crank the engine. Bike is away from me and I have yet to try with the sparkplugs out.
