Whenever I go riding (Milton) I only see older fellas out there. Wondering how many of you guys are under 25? I'm 18 myself and ride an SV650S. So let me know what you ride and stuff like that. Curious to see what you ride and how long you've been riding.

Ride safe!

I feel sorry for you young people. There's so few of you. You need to organize a big motorcycle bash for people under 30. Everywhere I look it's all 50+ boomers on baggers (Electra-Glides, Gold Wings...etc.). That can't be much fun for you. Get Honda and Harley Davidson to sponsor it, they have some new bikes aimed at young people coming out this year.

The only bikes I really see around are cruisers/Harley's and adventure bikes. And they never wave back :'(

Yeah its not so much fun , you are right. I only know one other person that rides personally. I gotta find some new riding buddies around my age haha.

Whyncha start giving them the finger just to see what happens? LOL. You can just say you're young and didn't know any better.

Yeah LOL, when we make eye contact, I'll take my hand off the bars and just give em the finger!

Like the other day a old guy on a nice older beamer parked next to when I was stopped at a light. I'm like "nice ride!" And he's just staring at me and says "eh". I'm like alright peaceeee and got outta there

Some people are just rude. I'm surprised, usually vintage guys are friendly, at least friendlier than the Harley guys, in my experience anyway.

If you whippersnappers head out on a group ride can you let the rest of us know when and where so we can go in the opposite direction? Good decoys are hard to find. Thanks. :)

I'll be 22 in a couple weeks, but I only do track riding now, insurance is too stupidly much.

Get a smaller bike? My insurance would barely cover 5 track days not including consumables. I'd go nuts if that's all I rode all year.

I think the reason there are not many people under 25 is because insurance is expensive and not worth it. That and many people are broke students still in post-secondary or working in jobs to pay off their student loans/debts.

I find riding under 25 a luxury that not many people can afford.

I made a group called "Younger Riders" before and it actually turned out pretty well. We had a bunch of rides and I met some really cool people (who I'm still good friends with, to this day). The group might be worth a revamp (just search it).

I gotta say, though, I do prefer riding with older people are their heads tend to be on a bit better. I'm not the most tame rider in the world but I understood that there was at least a time and a place. I met some people in that group that I flat-out refused to ride with in the future.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of younger riders will roll up in a 125 or 250 and that might not be your cup of tea.

I feel like your only half joking there, if at all. Haha.

That said, I can see where someone would not want to ride in a larger group of younger riders. Being one myself, I do feel like 2-3 is ideal.

That I do agree with completely. Makes me feel even luckier for what I have.

I'm cool with all bikes! Consider myself pretty tame but I do understand where your coming from. I'm gonna search that group up.

Had a street bike for 3 years, had a high side and couldn't afford to replace it so after 3 years of no bike, went to track. My current bike and all the trackdays were still cheaper then insurance probably would have been for a year. And I've done 8 so far this year, and occasionally can borrow a bike from my work, so I get some (minimal) street riding too. I also have dirtbikes if I want as well, I don't think I could mentally handle a 250, would go nuts. Now I would totally take a grom out!

Didn't you used to be like 17 or something?

24 here; but i wouldn't do group rides with just under 25.. probably not the safest thing to do... hah

25 on the nose right here. Prefer to riding alone however.

I'm 23, but there's only one guy I know that is younger then me (a good friend), who rides and isn't a dumb @$$. At least all the stupid kids on 250's can't exactly do too much stupid **** on their lawnmowers. I'd rather not ride with anyone my age.

#1: They are broke. That means we can't go on the "good rides", can't get good food and usually end up sitting around looking at how they've modified their POS 250/300 Ninja with things that don't help it go faster or handle better.

#2: They lack skill. 45 km through a corner? Borinnnngggg.

#3: Maturity level... Or the lack thereof. Stupid **** will indeed happen.

I ride with mature+skilled riders, have learned from them and enjoy their company. We do so much more then someone my age could do. I actually just happen to have a well paying job, unlike most my age.

Thats still just over a week of riding. Riding a 250 most days from April to December would be preferable no? Heck, I'd ride a Vespa if I couldn't ride my current bike. Dirt bikes are fun though.
