Been lurking around on this site for a bit, and read a bunch of threads on the HOV lanes around GTA. I found myself down that way this weekend, in my car, travelling to St. Catharines. I have to tell you, I was IMPRESSED (yes, I'm not bashing the TO driver for a change) with the courtesy/respect GTA drivers used with the HOV lanes on the 403 to St. Catharines. To me it looked like this lane was "respected".
Sure there were a few violators (mostly with out of province plates, tho!), but for the most part people respected the HOV lane. And to my surprise, nobody violated the "do not cross" double line/median. I kept watching for cars to zip across the "do not cross" double median lines, but didn't see one violation my entire trip there and back.
