Horseshoe Open..

Someone let me know how much gravel there is. After destroying my bases at Kirby one year, I let someone else be the guinea pig. Just because there is some white doesn't mean you should be sliding yet.

Hopefully horseshoe is in good shape and it is just OSC that puts money ahead of quality.

Use a old POS board.....i had fun times sailing through water at Glen Eden one year.....

I was at my parents house on the weekend just down the road and they have a solid 6" of natural snow so i would say after they groomed out the man made poop you should have no issues.

Planing on going on Friday, who's in???

Damn riding and boarding in the same week:D

Well blue opens on 15th. I have an old pair of straight skis I am looking forward to trash. I want to practice p-tex repair for Tremblant.

Make that the 17th. It has been delayed to Saturday.

I just got my boots banged out a bit to accomodate my fat feet and they feel much better. I'm excited to get out and try them. Wanted to get down to Lake Placid before x-mas but the conditions are..um..not good. :-( Ah well, hopefully January is better then off to Alta/Snowbird.

Probably not going to be boarding until January. I highly doubt the conditions will be that great

rain for barrie on thurs, and blue is looking at drizzle thurs/fri. The season is going to be a slow starter.

When I was out in Squamish I read about some "Sea to Sky Day" thinger some group organized. Skiing/Snowboarding at Whistler, then a big bike ride from Whislter to Squamish (it's downhill.. hahaha), then play on the water in Squamish (Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing).

That'd be fun!

On average, snow does not accumulate consistently until January (in Toronto). I remember riding New Years eve in 2007/2008

That's more like Sky to Sea :D

Ya, ya. I know!

The bike ride part is down the Sea to Sky Highway though. I dunno. Silly left coast people.

If they throw in a heli-jump, that would've made it awesome :)

id be down for friday night, if i can get my work done

What do you think the conditions are going to be like Friday? Weather channel is showing a high of 12C and raining in Barrie Thursday, then dropping to a high of 1C Friday.

I'm thinking it will be really really icy.
