Saw a horrific one this morning. Huge flames coming from a passenger vehicle that collided with a tractor trailer in the express left lanes. Hope no one was still in the car.

I passed there going 401E around 6:50am this morning. Looked like it must have happened a few minutes prior as no emergency vehicles were there at all except for a few tow trucks. A lot of people on the right shoulder stopped and out taking mobile videos and pictures. I hope some one from them tried to help before taking the famous youtube video that will launch their crummy career.

Nothing in the news yet

People do tend to do funny things there..427/401 split..swerving across a few lanes at a time.. No idea what the details are, just speculating.

it was probably another driver who watched too many fast and furious movies, think its easy to drift cars

I was riding out to a mothers day thing in Guelph and when I came off Eglinton onto the 401, there wasn't a car in sight going Westbound, kind of spooky.

i just rode past there, the had dixie rd north blocked at matheson and blocked it for left turns from the 401 off ramp onto dixie.

Wow that sucks...
What is up with the traffic cam pic with the spider?

was on the road, wb 401 at around 8am yesterday, and was shocked to hear that they had closed the entire wb, both collectors and express. could only imagine the scale of debris and carnage to cause that many lanes of traffic to be closed. hope he was killed instanteously, because it would have been even more horrific if he burned alive.

did a jaunt around 409, 427 and back to the 401 to avoid what looked like at least a one hour backup (i'm sure it was even worse later).

i agree with an earlier poster--that interchange is always full of craziness.
