Honda shadow hole saw mod

Has anyone ever done a hole saw mod to Honda shadow? By removing the baffle? Any complications? Would anyone recommend doing this? Any tips?

I have seen others do this. The sound isn't that great..
Check out hondashadow.net and there are tutorials to do it.

Depends on the year of your bike if its fuel injected.
Some people are lucky they didn't need to touch with it.

My buddy did it to his 650 v-star, he liked it. I thought it was kind of tin can sounding. But he made a point to me. He said he wanted a different sound, so if he drilled out the muffler, and didn't like the result, he was going to change the pipes from stock anyway. Didn't seem to have any carb problems either.

You're right, it's more of a tin can sound because they're Japanese bikes, and when you do that mod, there's no baffles to have that true v-twin sound.

I did it on my 2009, then got a set of Vance and Hines Short shots over the winter. No need to rejet on either the hole saw mod or the V&H pipes. I liked the sound of the hole saw mod, ran it like that from June to Nov. The mod itself took about 20 minutes. I did a vid of it when I did the mod. When I read the title I remembered the guy who cut ram air ducts right through his frame (think it was a ZX9?) ;)

Can't find the thread or pictures at the moment :(
