I am fascinated by this motorcycle. Really a master piece. I am planning to buy one...Does anyone here ride one. Can you please share your experience about the bike with me and what to look for when buying a used one. There are only a few available
 
I saw one about a week ago at the heavy duty cycles bike meet...GORGEOUS is the only word to describe it
 
It's a little bit too small for it's purpose isn't it?

Actually, what is it's purpose?
 
It`s one of the best custom bikes out there .Good luck with your search .

That may be true, but they'd have to pay me the actual cost of the motorcycle for me to be seen on one of those :shock: And no, I wouldn't mind taking a cruiser out for a boot :cool:
 
I could go for the 1500 Valk but not the Rune. Looks like a dog with its tail between its legs. My opinion. Mechanically it's probably a good bike.
 
Personally, I always found the Rune fascinating. Different kind of bike, dig the front suspension particularly ... however it's obviously not terribly practical. Only advice is please don't put a Corbin fairing on it!!
 
Amazing bikes.
Rolling scupture, personally I love it.
And the motor, I've driven newish Gold Wings and I love the motor of course.
But good luck getting one - sometimes you get rich guys who just want it gone, but other than that YOU might be the guy paying big bucks, heheh...
The sound, I bet there's amazing potential there.
Those Runes have got to be selling for more than new...?

$12-20K average is big bucks?

It's overpriced for such an ugly bike but it's not really all that big of a deal...

There are loads of them for sale in the States. One for $10K in NJ with 2300 miles on it.

Hype owns some people, others know a used Honda is a used Honda. Ignore the idiots who are asking $25K because they aren't selling for that.

Yestreday, I went to see a Rune with 1500 kms on it. So we meet up at the strorage locker where he had his bike. He said that one guy came and dropped the bike when he took it for a test ride. He said that only the clutch lever is broken and would cost $150 from dealership. When I looked at the bike, it had damage on RV mirror, Engine/leg guard, Exhaust, Rear Fender, Rear turn signal....my guess it is around $2500 damage keeping in mind it is a Rune. Never ever let anybody test rider your motorcycle. He is a nice guy and gave a heavy cruiser to a rider who was riding a 250. Did not notice the damage as it was late in the evening.
