As something for booting around the neighbourhood, grabbing a few groceries or commuting to work in the city, this has caught my eye. is cheaper than many ebikes on the market, has a real engine and is not a scooter

Cool. Now if Honda can sell it with an affordable insurance policy, it would be useful. As it is, insurance kills it in Canada.

Agreed...but that's not really on Honda to influence. They can modify (reduce) the bike as much as they can to fit within some magic formula in the Canadian insurance regs...but in the end, our insurance is insanity.

110cc...I'd expect $500/year or so. Maybe $800 for a newb.

Looks like a fun bike, hope it sells well.

Afaik, nothing is stopping Honda from opening an insurance arm. Only competitively price that one bike at $200-250 a year. Any other bike is $10,000 due to insufficient data to generate more accurate pricing.

A friend (older, experienced rider) has a 2007 CBR125 for hooning around. I think it costs her about $325/year.

My first bike was a CBR125 (around 9-10 years ago)...$550/year.

Got a quote for a Grom within the last 2 years....$400/year approximately with close to 8 years of riding. I'd expect this thing to fall under $350 for experienced, and about $500/year for inexperienced.

It's 110cc...LSM territory I think.

Yah insurance is a brutal market. No way a small bike like that should be more than $200 annually for anyone with experience and tops $400 for a new rider IMO
