The absolute best bike to start road racing with is the Honda CBR250. I don't care if you are riding a 600 or litre bike on the street now. On the CBR, you will learn more from riding a 250 class bike than mixing it up with the crazies in AM600.:confused4: 2011 CBR250 in ready to race trim. Add fuel, change numbers and ride. Don't spend days drilling bolts and removing stuff from your street bike! Buy a bike that is 100% reliable, easy and fun to ride and won't break the bank with new tires everyweekend like a 600 
Bike has Dynojet power commander, race pipe, race bodywork and spares. Race it for a few years and then put the street stuff back on and sell it as a low miles street bike.
