Honda bikes valve clearance at 1000km service? (2011 cbr250r)

So my 2011 cbr250r is due for the 1k service soon. The manual says to do a valve clearance check and adjust if necessary. Some dealers dont do it and tell me its not needed and it would be extra $200 if i want it. They say - new bike valves should be fine. In general from experience from other Hondas - Should i do it or not? the next recomended is at 25k.
 
see if you can get the manual and do it yourself. The 125 forums has DIY for this, im sure there is a 250 forum that can show you how its done. Otherwise dont bother, from what I am reading not doing the valve checks wont result in catastrophic failure, just poor running. So if it seems to be sluggish take it and get it done.
 
Oh its not slugish :) but im just a beginner rider. my concer would be if knock on wood later i had a warrant issue and they said heeeeeey u didnt do valve clarance at 1k - claim denied!
 
Is this covered under the warranty?
