Highway of Heroes 2012

I have work, I was supposed to go. Hope you guys have fun. It's a nice ride with OPP blocking exits and ramps.

Crap, I am in Dallas right now. If I knew about it I would have made sure I was back for it and ride in collar etc.

Sounds like a good event -- does it happen every year? I'm still breaking in my bike so maintaining 100km/h for that long (on a 250) probably isn't a good idea.

I do not think it would be a problem, many have had no issue with 'riding it like they stole it' right out of the shipping crate. In some cases it has even resulted in more power being produced vs a bike broke in to manufacturer spec.

Anyone want to arrange a pre-meet in the east end? KC? L&L?

The pace is very relaxed. >90% of bikes are cruisers. That whole parking lot in Trenton is FULL.

I'd be more worried about maintaining 100 for so long, as in holding approx the same RPM. If speeds varied from say 80km/h to 120km/h, then that would be a different story. Pretty much been breaking the bike in on backroads where I have more control over the speed and rpm.

I am hoping to meet up with the group afterwards. I am coming back to Toronto tomorrow morning from the west. If I can get in touch with a few people doing this, we'll probably be going to Sound Acedmy for the after party. Anyone want to come out?

It was a good ride. Every group of bikes that went out (groups of 50-ish) should have had a police escort, but they didn't. Only the first 200 bikes did. Other than that, I have no complaints. My buddy and I honoured a fallen soldier, and friend of ours, Trooper Marc Diab.
