Here's a ride I did of highway 507. I recorded it (in glorious 1080p!) for your enjoyment.

It's not super fast, or extreme or anything, but it covers the entire highway 507. I rode it on my ninja 300, so you can have a bit of a taste of what it can do.

Avoid posting videos on the internet where you are breaking the speed limit. Even if your speedo isn't visible the police will use the distance between telephone poles to calculate your speed (they have software that does it automatically). Don't ask me how I know :(
 
too bad i lost my 507 run with raymon, mavrik95, and random hero. after splitting off from dhruv's ride last year. that was epic.

realistically, it's extremely hard for them to go after anyone for this kind of thing, unless you like, film your face, licence plate, and then go breaking laws. who's to say that's me, my bike, even a real highway, earth? maybe there's an identical highway on planet X, where the posted speed limit is the minimum you go, or you explode?

I agree they aren't goign to go after you for this video, but the point is still a valid one about posting. It would in this case be VERY easy to prove where the video was shot, (firstly, you posted the location..lol), secondly there are MANY identifiers along the route such as visible road signs, and some even have the provincial logo on them..lol. Then of course there is at the very beginning the shot of the building you started of from. Now had someone died in a crash trying to avoid you then the OPP would likely go to extreme measures to track you down, (they also have software that can trace IP's, how do you think they catch pedophiles etc), but for a video like this, it would have to be a frosty day where there had been absolutely NO calls for service for say a week and they REALLY needed something to do.

The advice given is valuable especially had your speedo showed say you doing 300K along there.. (yes I exaggerated just for effect)..lol.
 
all good points, but nothing like that happened, just a nice ride through the countryside.

What??? LOL!!! They just get your address from youtube/your internet provider. They go to your house and look for your motorcycle. They identify it then charge the OWNER with whatever charges they deem fit (i.e. careless driving is the usual, or impound bike + racing). Then YOU have to hire a lawyer to prove YOU weren't driving it, it wasn't your motorcycle, etc. (usually by identifying who WAS driving it so they can be charged). Does that sound FUN to you?? Don't think it doesn't happen EXACTLY like that :(

The 300kph bike in BC. How'd they get his address? Youtube/ISP. Who'd they arrest? His mom, registered owner of the bike.

How did cops find my address? Youtube/ISP. Who'd they come question, ME, registered bike owner. Asked me to delete my offending youtube videos and if they received another complaint they'd arrest me.

A complaint over a Youtube video? lol.

This coming from a guy who says the cops show up at your house to tell you " your personalized plates you ordered from the MTO aint happening" ..

Your a joke at best. No cops showed up at my doorstep for my personalized plates denial, and i appealed the MTO decision.

Next youll tell us all that Air1 flys over your house nightly, checking in on you.

The reason he was here was for the youtube videos, he just mentioned to me he told the MTO not to issue me the plates I ordered. I have a witness that was standing right beside me thanks.

If anyone sends a complaint to them they have to follow up, that's what he said re: my video.

Hey OP ... Great video man I rode through 503, 507 and back up to elephant lake road back in August, what a nice ride that was First time up there.

Oh, thanks :) That trip was something similar, it was just rather boring for the rest of the video, so i clipped most of it.

Did his charge stick? And if so, it's probably because he didnt stfu and something to the police.
