High beam help??

Hey guys,

I recently lost the high beam on my 2001 Ducati 750ss. I purchased a new bulb and replaced the old one. I can get the high beam to work if I use the "signal" button but not if I use the actual high beam button. I checked the high/low beam fuse and it seems to be ok. Any thoughts?

I'm guessing a wire shortage or connections wrong. Check the wires.

check the continuity of the switch, might be broken...if the highbeam is coming on with the solid switch, but not the button flasher thingy, probably just the switch or loose wire...or old wire that has worn out...but can't be too much to trouble shoot since the main wiring works and so does the other regular switch.

check the wiring in the handle bar switch, you might have a open ground, or a pinched wire.

+1 Happened to me only it was a mechanical issue with the switch.

You're proven that the circuit and bulb are OK. It sounds like a switch issue.
