Hi! Just bought Awesome priced gear you should all know about!!!!!

Hey new to this site, back into Adventure bikes after about 8 years off and 25-30 years of sport bikes.
Sold all my gear back then and had nothing but a helmet and gloves left that I used for kart racing.

So my post is really about just having to bring this to everyone's attention!! (Now that's I've got everything I need!!! lol)

Everyone knows GP Bikes in Whitby, and Royal Distributing just down the road, but there's a small hidden gem of a shop about two exits past on the 401, south on Simcoe, you have to check out!

I got totally outfitted with top top end gear from Germany at a place called Re-Gear Oshawa for like 10 cents on the dollar!!!
I'm not kidding here. At GP Bikes (I love GP Bikes) I would have spent $5000+ for this gear. Klim suit and Sidi boots and stuff like that. I was under a grand!!!

Guys name is Alex and he has ads on Kijiji with pictures. It's all brand new with original price tags on it. I swear if everyone knew about this place, it would all sell out in an day. Might make a good Saturday ride destination if you're around on the weekend

I bought gear made by Held and Stadler (not a lot of this there unfortunately), Held gear is like Klim, Furygan seems like Dainese and Sadler may even be a level above!
Both are made with all Gore-Tex Pro 3 layers and 4 or 5 other top fabrics like ScotchGuard and 3M just like Klim
Also leather versions and boot and ladies stuff col weather gear

He has lots of large sizes, which you generally don't get at stores like this one of the first sizes to sell out it seems to me.

You get spam here?

Ahhh, Oakville that make a lot of sense, pretty affluent town. I love to go out there for a coffee on a Saturday and watch all the exotic cars drive by. lol

I looked up this Stadler jacket I bought for a song at Re-Gear and it goes for 1349 Euro or $2000 CDN That's more than a Klim Badlands Pro at GP

I bought a Held jacket and then a Stadler jacket (much higher quality than the Held jacket) from the Oakville sales before the leftover product got moved over to ReGear.

I was surprised at the retail list price for the Stadler because it shouldn't cost that much, even though I really like that jacket. Not sure if it’s better than Klim, unless we’re comparing it to the slightly lower budget Klim offerings like the Carlsbad (Latitude is definitely better).

I love my Held gloves, but the several jackets of theirs that I tried on were levels below Klim for build quality, materials and features. I’d put them above a brand like Olympia, but below Klim and Stadler for their textile offerings.

One of these days I need to make the trek over to ReGear and see what else they sell. Thanks for the review and welcome aboard!

Good to hear about ReGear having good sales. Last time I went there not only was stock low, but the prices weren’t much better than GP or normal retail elsewhere.

Will have to make a trip out one day.

If you were looking for Arai or Shoei helmets, not the place. They do not try to compete with the GP Bikes crowd. They mostly cater to new riders, people taking motorcycle course, and people on a budget. I am 10 minutes from GP and ReGear. Only time you see high end gear there, when they get deals like Oakville Yamaha, Ready Powersports that they can sell cheaply. For mid level gear, they have tons of stock and prices much lower than most retail shops. Not really trying to be bigger, store is only about 800 sq ft, and only open 3 days a week.

I went over there when I was getting back on 2 wheels but also found their stock to be limited at the time and prices were not what one would expect. I am not saying this in a bad way, I am sure there are others, as the OP that find the place suites their needs.

I did find the hours to be weird and would expect them to be opened more than 3 days a week. Not sure about the owner but I'm guessing its run as a part time gig?

Store has been there over 10 years now. They went to 3 days a week during Covid (they said "not wearing a mask 5 days a week") Then I guess they felt 3 days was enough business for them, owner says he's semi-retired. In most retail, Thurs, Fri, Sat are going to be your busiest days. I guess it works. GP is open 6 days, Royal 7 days, so I guess the area is covered.

There you go on the hours above...

Going to do as quick circle back for everyone later in the week, pretty sure pricing was better on the average for everything there that's new and as for used, as I mentioned, a song base on MSRP. New helmets, gloves, and such (Carries new Gryphon jackets and pants the Canadian company. I remember that) were a good percentage below GP and Royal's prices on the floor. However as Klaatu says in his posts, it's not about high-end gear there, it's about great deals on close outs and end of line for the new or thrifty rider. No Arai or Shoei helmets but lots of new current mid range helmets. I'll ask about sizes and stock. He just seems to have got a good bit of high-end from Oakville Yamaha, quoting GreyGhost (I have no idea). I'll let you know on Thursday or Friday what I see price wise and we'll know for sure!
