Whats up guys my name's Cody I'm 25 years old, got my first bike 86 suzuki gs550ef back in april, was originally looking for mid-70's cb or the like to build a little cafe machine, but ended up getting this bike through a friend of a steal so I couldnt refuse. Came with 4 into 1 and hindle slip on(bonus!) had to rebuild the carbs, un-seize the front brake mc, needed a new battery,, did a bunch of other work to it, still wanted to build a sort-of cafe styled bike even though its not really the ideal starting point lol, I kind of still captured the essence hopefully though, one way or another its a fun bike and im happy with how it looks, still got a few things i wanna do, paint, have black heat wrap for the headers, etc etc who knows haha, anyways heres a couple pics thanks for looking! cheers

this is was a moving pic that my girlfriend captured and instagram'd, I thought it was kinda cool lol, - just picked up that half helmet and loving it! i also have an agv k3 fullface, but cant beat an open face in 45* heat!

Thanks for the welcome guys, hopefully I'll meet some people at a group ride or something, im in the newmarket/aurora area,, basically none of my buddies have bikes,,, lame..

Btw the plastic from the bike is for sale (wrong section I know)
 
very cool looking. better than a cafe racer since it's more unique i think, and i like that aggressive look it's got.

Welcome. The bike looks a lot better without the fairings, the naked look always looks best. Now just get yourself some gear.. ;)
 
That is HAWT! what rear seat/tail is that? Do you have any pictures of the front end?
 
Thanks man! The seat was custom built using the original seat base, chopped it all up, re-shaped the original foam, and re-wrapped it with the original leather(also modified) then dyed, the tail section is original but we cut it down and had to fab up some new brackets to mount it up, prob took at least 12" off the rear of the bike with body/seat mod,, got tons of pics on my phone just gotta get them on the computer,


Johnny5 - haha yea man I actually got a good Leather coat, full face and some decent riding gloves, but i wouldn't mind getting some better shoes/boots, I dont really want anything to aggressive looking though, we'll see what happens


I'll try and get some more photos up maybe tonight, at least this week if not, got some pretty good photos of the whole seat mod, pretty gnarly lol, but I'm pleased with the finished product,
