Figured it's about time I registered and became active on this forum. Got my first motorcycle, a 2011 Ninja 250R in Metallic Imperial Blue on Thursday - just in time for the beautiful long weekend! I've had my M2 exit (RTI) since Oct 2008 so I put in some much needed practice/refresher time on Canada Day in a nice empty parking lot up in the Newmarket area, with my first (albeit short!) ride with my brother being realized yesterday afternoon. It's been a long time coming for me to get a bike so the moment had a lot to live up to and surpassed my expectations. Hooked for life? Yeah, I'd say so. Not going to lie - I spent a good portion of time just staring at the bike in disbelief that I actually own it. 
Can't wait to break in the bike and get some longer rides in. I had toyed with the idea of jumping straight into a SV650 or Ninja 650R but decided it best to err on the side of caution.
