It is a 6 point 18mm socket and has the spark plug insert inside.

A socket is nice to have if you want to use your wrenches instead of the emergency socket that is in the toolkit.

Special order at Canadian Tire?

Nope, it's in their socket cabinet. The store near me had 3. You can check the inventory over the website for the one near you.

Went to princess auto & got 3 different sockets of varying sizes. All under $15

When I was at Princess Auto checking them out, I didn't see 18mm on the shelf just SAE stuff for cars. Their sockets looked really low end anyway, lots of 12 point etc.

Gotta double check, I found one that fits my bike & car

I would have preferred a Craftsman socket but that one is only on the USA site which is too bad. The Canadian Tire one is actually stamped 18 not etched and is less than half the price of the Motion Pro 18mm socket. Motion Pro is better quality and has a hole in the side for the screwdriver as emergency wrench but it is more $, probably even more for automaker sockets. Lowes does not sell a 18mm spark plug socket which is too bad because Kobalt is decent for the Taiwan stuff.

I purchased their colour coded 3/8 drive and 1/4 drive sets, all 6 point. I'm impressed with them for the price I paid.

I special ordered a Jet 18mm 3/8 from Parts Source a number of years ago for my KLR although on other bikes, the thick walled socket gave a wee spot of trouble.

Princess Auto does stock larger metric sockets, as I was in a pinch needing some larger 32mm 26, 27 1/2 for my VFR. I'm happy to report that I haven't broken them. Yet. :-P
