So, looking to get an iPhone and I'm wondering who has the best plan out there...
Daytime minutes/data are very imporant to me because I use my phone for work.
Basically what I want to know is who has the best plan out there.
I spent an hour on the phone with Rogers this morning and I got the following plan:

1200 daytime minutes
evenings and weekends free
3 GB of data
voicemail, caller id and call waiting
All for 89$/month +hst of course

Feels like too much in comparison to what I'm paying with Wind.
im hoping you guys can shed some light on what kind of plan you have and who your service provider is.

Thanks!

Wow.

250 minutes daytime.
Unlimited evenings/weekends
Unlimited txt messagses
Voice mail, call waiting, call display, conference calling
6 gig of data.

$52 / month Bell.

Evenings and weekends with Bell start from 9 pm...
250 minutes will be done in no time lol, the 6 GB data plan sounds nice though!
I browsed their site and didn't see the plan you're referring to.

Its not something they are advertising. You have to go in and talk to a bell CSR. Tell em you want that 6 gig plan ..

If you have an unlocked or a used fido iphone you can get the $30 1gb + $35 city fido plan, so unlimited minutes just like wind and if you bargain with them ask for more data, I have the 6gb for the same price.

Yes, I'm starting to see that Fido has the best plan as of right now...
-Unlimited Canada wide call/text/picture/video messages
-Caller ID, call forwarding (2500 minutes), conference call, voice mail, who called

50$ for that plus $25 for 500 MB (apparently there is a promotion $30 for 6 GB, which would be ideal)

Why strictly iPhone? If you're set on it, that's OK, but you know all carriers see iPhone crowd as sheep, and charge accordingly.
Just compare these plans:

Still, if you want iPhone, forget Rogers / fido (forget rogers in any case :) ) call or visit carrier in off-peak hours and negotiate...

I hated the idea of having an iPhone until my girl got me an iPod touch a while back and realized how handy the damn thing is.

Virgin has $35 unlimited local calling and $30 6gb data. And you can usually get them to thrown in the vm and CID.
Part of the reason I'm leaving Wind is because their reception is ******...
is Virgin any different?

Yeah like MadPoet said, Virgin is a Bell subsidiary. So it runs off of Bell service. Never had. Problem with it. And I use an iPhone 4s on it too.
I just called them and they said $450 for the 4s on a 3 year term.
$50 for unlimited calling and pay as you go on the data part of it.
So far, Fido is looking like the best option.

I am with Fido now, they are definitely better than wind but worse than telus &bell. Be careful though, If you don't have your own phone then cancellation will be mad expensive ($500) otherwise it is $12.50 plus tax "NOT per month". I always like to buy my phone unlocked for when i travel state side so I don't have a problem. If you take a phone from them then get ready for the long haul.

I'm with Rogers on my iPhone for one reason: Caller ID Name. I'm not sure if Fido supports it as well (since it's the same network), but Bell and Telus definitely do not. On a cell phone it's invaluable as it allows me to screen my calls for numbers I don't recognize. Yes, I pay a littler more for Rogers, but that combined with sharing a data plan with my iPad makes it worth it for me.

This with Virgin = $50/month

I will sell you a brand new white 4s 16gb in the box, unopened, sealed locked the virgin/bell for $450. Only have 3 left let me know if your interested through a PM.

Fido is worst in what way?

Not the worst, but worse than bell. I get a lot of "someone tried to call" when the phone is on and should be getting the call. Not as bad as wind's SOS issues but it is a nuisance when your call fails every so often. I had all of the providers phones and with bell/telus I had the best reception, but the worst cost for what I need. Rogers is out of the question for their inferior customer service. I am left with fido, they are decent enough, cost effective and their only problem is their phones lineup "which I don't care about" and their signal issues. It is still good for most people and way better than wind/mobilicity.
