Help: GSX-R 750 cranks but won't fire

Hi everyone

I'd greatly appreciate some help if anyone knows what the problem could be with my bike -- it's already mid-June and I haven't had a chance to go riding yet!

Last year I was riding up north and the bike quit on me for no reason (electrics and motor just shut off).

I recently replaced the main fuse which fixed the electricals but the bike wouldn't start. I then realized that I had inverted the tip-over switch, so that fixed the red light flashing FI problem. Now the bike still won't start.

I am a bit concerned about the main fuse blowing for no apparent reason, so I checked the wiring (found some exposed wires in some places) and covered everything. It should be in working order. I also charge the battery to full capacity before trying to start it.

This is a 2007 GSX-R 750 that somebody had previously fiddled around with (changed the wiring etc.) so unfortunately, it could be one of many things.

I'm thinking of replacing the battery, resetting the ECM -- I thought maybe the cylinders were gas-flooded after trying to start it with the TO sensor inverted, but the gas should have evaporated by now.

I really don't know what the issue is now so I would greatly appreciate any advice!

It would be helpful if you could describe what DOES work when you put the key in and cranking.

Do the lights come on? Are they dim? Do they dim when you're cranking?
Have you tried bump starting?
Check the voltage on the battery (I once found out the back of the tender was switched to 6V instead of 12V)?
Did you put stabilizer or any carb cleaner in?

Check all wires to the battery ( mostly the ground wire if you have a pc) and make sure its on the negative not the positive. I made that mistake last week so.... stupid me

everything else works .... lights, fuel pump primes, bike in neutral, lights are not dim

If you think there's stuff in the cylinders, remove spark plugs and crank over, watch crap come out, check spark plugs before putting them back in, try again.
Maybe there's another sensor that was tripped? Why was the tip-over sensor inverted?

That was just like mine everthing worked except it would not fire, My battrey dead so i got a new one and while hooking it i connected the power commander ground to the positive instead and it took me 4 days to realise something so stupid, Once i connected it started no problem. I even checked it see if the spark plugs were sparking. Just double check even triple check that all the wires are connected

I should revise the post

I can actually hear a couple of cylinders firing, but the engine won't run
definitely not the battery as I've replaced it with a new, fully charged one and still have a problem
maybe fuel pump, spark plugs?
any help would be much appreciated!
