My buddy is looking for a car.....just about any car.

3 year lease, no money down, payments at $250 or less a month.

Must be 2013 model, have AC, MANUAL tranny.

US cars (Focus, last gen Fusion ok), Japanese cars, or Korean cars ok.
PLEASE, no lousy GM or Ford Fiesta suggestions. :lmao:

He's got his eye on the Jetta, but surely the Elantra would be a better choice?

Serious question. He knows I'm a car guy, but not up on the leasing market, esp on entry level machines.

So far, he tells me the Jetta and Sentra are serious contenders. He took the Hyundai Tucson for a boot, but wasn't impressed.

The best he could get on a Civic was was $320, so that ones out the window.

I told him to try an Elantra if he is looking for good bang for the buck with low payments. He claims that the Hyundai dealer told him that very few people lease Hyundais? I find this hard to believe.

Also told him to check the Mazda 3, as Mazda typically has really low lease and financing rates, but from my last ride in a 3, I recall it having a tight interior.

Seems to me like he wants his cake and to eat it too.

Dont know if anything will fall in that financing rance without something as a deposit or some crazy "fee's"

and nothing wrong with the Fiesta....

Nissan versa, Honda fit, or Chevy Cruz to name a few. It's only a 3 year lease. Warranty should take all risk out of the equation.

I agree, but he says VW quoted him $240 a month. Was wondering if there were any other offerings in that range.

If VW could do it, why not others?

VW is really aggressive trying to attain the #1 position. Promotions galore. The Jetta is their new entry level car.

I think the "must be a 2013" model criteria really eliminates a lot of potential deals.

Its sounds like you buddy does not have much money to spend and if he's not that picky, I think you can find good lease deals if you do a lease takeover.

Yup was in a Orillia Volkswagen last week and this price was accurate. Looks like your buddy was mis-quoted that or he changed the base car and added options to increase the price.

$250/month is a really low payment for a 2013. Might be able to find some 2012s for that lease price if there's any left around but that's the only thing I see.

you can get a brand new 2012 Honda Fit for 249 ... that's without any negotiation... that's right on the website
