Helmet shopping

Hey everyone,
I just registered for an M2 three day course. Can anyone help me get my first helmet ? any good deals around? any particular store? I live yonge and eglinton. within half an hour drive would be great for me.

Welcome and good luck on your course. Places for helmet's (off the top of my head) you can try Riders Choice, Kahuna, Parker Brothers or Royal Distributing. Or check the gear for sale section and see if you can find one there. Cheers

I hear a lot of good things about helmets from Zariz Cycle. Under $100. Check them out. Or check out Cycle World.

I went to royal distributing and got an HJC helmet on sale. It's light, fits perfect and i am not gonna upgrade my helmet for some time. I got it for about 140 bucks, and added a tinted visor for 26 bucks. Whatever you do, make sure the helmet fits you well, don't take style over comfort or safety.

Make sure you get something that fits right and vents properly if you are going to use it for a long time. Personally, I spend a lot of money on a helmet and use the same one for 3 or 4 years then switch it. Some people buy a few different helmets for lower prices. It is the most important piece of equipment, so you want to find something that will work for you for a long while. If you are able to try it out first, even better. Then you can see how quiet it is as well.
