well almost... ski goggles with an android 2.3 based tiny screen

I want to hack that into my helmet ASAP.

I'm curious if the speedometer is just accelerometer based, and if so, if it works correctly.
but helmet based gps,etc sounds nice... hell all of it sounds nice.

There will always be people who see no point in toys. I am not one of them.

I would hate for it to have the white screen Of death and then be too bright in your face

Been around for a while but finally "affordable". Two years ago Jimmy Spithill , winning America Cup skipper wore sunglasses with speed/tack angles and digital compass display in the lens. He had a backpack with a data log feeding info.

We’re excited to introduce MOD and MOD Live, this year’s Micro Optics Display with GPS and sensor technology for Alpine Goggles. MODs are specific to skiing, riding and snowmobiling and we don’t suggest retrofitting them into anything other than Recon Ready goggle frames. Recon Ready frames will fit most Alpine/Snow-specific helmets, but be sure to test them before wearing.

We are currently exploring other opportunities for MOD technology including motorcycle helmets and we’d be interested in your input for future products, but this season is all about the snow! We’ll keep you posted on any developments on upcoming products.

very neat idea...imagine it could send sonar blips or something and spot upcoming potential hazards (pedestrians)...haha.

or bumps in the road.

Why stop at the dash? Why not just do away with steering and handling and let the bike ride itself?
