Hi Folks,

I had been thinking about riding for a couple years and for my birthday last year my wife set me up with the RTI M1 Exit course which I completed this past weekend. It was awesome and the instructors were fantastic. So much to learn! Just starting to look for my first bike (I am thinking of a CBR250 or a Rebel 250 - just need to see how each of them feels).

Thanks for taking the time to post up some fantastic starter articles. I'll keep reading and look forward to practicing and seeing some of you out on the road.

welcome

welcome! I still think that first ride on the cbr 125 going 20 kmph in a parking lot was the greatest rush I've ever felt!

welcome to the forums!

Welcome and safe riding.

Welcome to the Forum

I just did my course this past weekend also, learned so much from the Instructors at Georgia College.

Welcome!

If you can afford the insurance I suggest going with something a little bigger that you won't outgrow quickly, but nothing that's going to be too crazy to handle either. It's all about self control... you can hurt yourself on a 250 just as easy as a 600 it all depends on you! I'm glad my friend talked me into a bigger bike when I started...but that was me, you could be different, so if you want a 250 you get it, but just a suggestion! :D
