Hey everyone,

First of all, I'm from the states so bare with me on my "lingo" if I get things wrong ;)
I've met several of you over the past few days at the Total Control classes run by Sharp Rider (I'm interning with Lee Parks this summer). I want to say how awesome it is to come to another country and feel at home because everyone is so welcoming and friendly! I've been riding for 7 years, but had a pretty terrible get-off as a passenger in 2005 that almost took my life. So I decided to ride my own after that and here I am. I started a not-for-profit educational campaign urging riders to wear safety apparel, but I won't plug that in my first post. I'm also a motorcycle safety instructor in the states as well as a marketing professional. I don't have a ton of time to post up since I work (like a slave) in the motorcycle industry but will try to keep in touch. This seems like a pretty cool place.

I also want to say thanks to Donna for getting me on here. Not sure what her username is but I'm sure she'll find this at some point.

Ride safe all, and have fun!

-Brittany

Welcome and congrats on the not for profit!
What's the name of the organization?

Anyways, ride safe!

PS: What part of the states are you from?

Welcome to the site! I'm interested in seeing your campaign, keep us posted

Welcome to the forum. After a couple of close calls I have fully converted to safety gear at all times. I too would be interested in seeing more of your campaign. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, QueenBee.

Wow, your story is truly remarkable, yet shocking to see and imagine the aftermath as I read your story. To have strength and care from strangers around you to keep you alive from such a life threatening accident, speechless. It shows you that everyone, though strangers, will help when it's necessary. What's also inspiring is your courage to jump back on a bike. I applaud! :)

As a beginner rider still waiting for training, this is definitely an eye opener on safety, not to be cheap when it comes to proper protection. Its an expensive sport, but we all should know that already what were getting ourselves into. Safety First!

Thank you for sharing. :)

Welcome to the forum Brittany

Wonderful to meet you today!

It was awesome meeting you yesterday. Thank-you for sharing your story with us and showing us first hand what could happen with out proper gear on.

You story hit close to home as I was hit by a car in 2005 and yes people don't understand what an impact it has on your family not just you.

Thanks for being so brave!

You're awesome. Just saying. I looked through your website. I'm a new rider and I've already fallen and hurt my knee, and I was in most of my gear just not jeans. Long pants but not denim material. I wear knee pads now! I have to have full gear or I won't ride, not even on the back. You're a very brave person to share your story!

Welcome!!
