Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum, was referred by a friend.

New to the bike world, just got my M2 in Sept and picked up a 06 1000RR... been working on it all winter.

Insurance was a pain to find... finally did. will be on he road in 2 weeks. :D

Welcome aboard. While it's not the bike I'd recommend for a rider to start on, the odds are at least 80% that nothing will happen to you while you're learning the ropes

Can you post what your insurance cost is?

Can you post what your insurance is on the 1000RR with an M2

WoW, ok thanks. I thought perhaps it was a pain to find cheap but it doesnt appear thats the case.

$500 per month to insure a bike is insane. Insurance companies are such thugs, it's incredible. How old are you if you dont mind me asking?

Welcome to GTAM!! I would assume OP got insurance through the Facility Association which are not thugs lol - it's actually a place where all the insurance companies pool some of their funds to provide insurance options to the "hard-to-place" risks. Nobody makes money or commission from selling or setting up a Facility policy - it's more like a last resort. Either way, ride safe, be patient, and insurance and all the rest of it will work itself out.
