Hello everyone :)

Just want to say hi and introduce myself. At long last I found the guts to learn how to ride it only took about 14 years :o! I must say I am happy to do it now than never. I got my M2 in early October and finally just got my first bike - a Ninja 400r. Got it from a nice gentleman who just don't have enough time to ride. The bike is good on insurance, not too much power and just perfect for my size. I have never ridden a motorcycle (not even dirt bikes) until I completed my M1 exit course at Georgian...so including my 5 minute ride yesterday - I officially have just over 2 days of riding experience....so I can't wait for the spring to practice.

Cheers!

Welcome and tell us what you think of the performance on the ninja 400 , i havent read alot of reviews on it.

I am glad you joined us! With your sport bike, you are now in the group which society thinks are agressive riders who roll down the highway doing wheelies and stop with an endo. Don't worry, if you got a harley, you would be a "criminal" or "up to no good", ha!

Which Georgian campus did you go to for the MSF?

I really hope you enjoy riding and good luck!

Honestly, I do not have much to compare the 400r to except for the CBR 125 I rode on the MSF Course at Owen Sound. Unfortunately, since I never had enough riding experience before the Course , I failed my first M1 exit as I just got nervous as F*** and being the second guy just lost focus during the test. So I drove to Barrie the next week (no practice or anything) and passed that. That told me that I certainly need to practice more and just enjoy it....so that's the plan.

The Ninja 400 seems to have enough power to accelerate quick enough to keep with up traffic and out of trouble - I drive a 2011 Subaru STI and it felt just as quick (that could be also because I don't have a cage around me and it felt faster). It's pretty much the same bike as the 650r with a sleeved engine so the size is good for me. I'm not tall but I felt that the 250R is something I would be bored with after 1 month and not confident riding on the highway - if I was to commute.

New rider as well. Can relate to your experience. Welcome and take it slow. Every ride gets better :)
