Headset speaker recommendation???

My old Scala g9x. The speakers are starting to get a bit ratty. They've never been loud enough (I ride with sillicone custom earplugs.

Any decent ones through amazon that anyone has used?

Im hoping for clear, loud, and short wires to run in the helmet.

Can the JBL speakers that work with the Pactalk Bold units work with the G9x?

Both are made by Cardo…
As I recall they are just 3.5mm jack? But someone feel free to correct me

I'll shamelessly 'plug' my current choice.

I use the liberate 2.0

works as ear defenders and bluetooth music. they claim 12 hrs of music playback, 5 min charge gets you 2 hours.

Those look cool. How do they work with a communicator + phone though? What pairs to what?

Right now I have the Sena comms BT-paired to my phone for calls and music, and use wired IEMs from the comms to my ears. Not sure if the comms can pair to BT earphones.

No this would probably pair to the bike and then the phone pairs to the bike. Dunno, since I just sold the XR I can't test it!

But this would replace comms, it does have a chincy noise cancelling mic so you could do a whatsapp call or something instead.

But I was never really happy with the BMW connection when i had a comms unit, hence getting rid of it the last time I bought one. More frequently then not I'd have the bike drop connection to my comms and then I'd have to pull over and re-pair it. Gave up and just used bluetooth headphones paired to the phone. Never have an issue.

There's a fairly simple jack system into the speakers. The mic jack is a little more complex.
I have the Freecom 4+, sound by JBL.
Not enough friends to be Bold.

Are you happy with it? Would you recommend? I'm looking at purchasing but mostly just to make and receive phone calls using the voice activated controls

AGV Ark for my AGV helmet. Not the highest quality sound but it works and super convenient. Button combos are kinda difficult to remember so I just stick with volume, play/pause/answer call and next song. Speed dial, comms and radio don't get used

It's great for what I use it for. Met up with a friend last year in Vermont and it took a minute to get it to connect to his Cardo. Otherwise, I hear fine, right through my earplugs in a Schuberth C3 Pro.

I thought that Evoex's method was technically illegal, then again maybe my earplugs are as well.

I believe you`re correct.

however the current noise coming from the new bike makes music pretty much impossible.

Oh well, I'll just have to listen to the v4, oh the horror.
