Heading to Halifax

This morning I decided to call in sick-and-tired-of-everybody's-BS and to head east on the bike. I'm leaving on Friday and hoping to be in Halifax by late Monday. I'll be leaving there on or about the 9th/10th of August (route is TBD). This will be my route down (roughly). Always happy for suggestions or company along the way! Cheers, and here's hoping for nice weather along the way!

Cabot Trail Up in northern Nova Scotia is suppose to be amazing. Would be a shame to skip it what with being so close already.

Yeah I'm from that part of the world so I'm well acquainted with the Cabot Trail - although I've never done it on the bike. I've got a few days of riding with friends before I head back and we'll either head down to CB or go around the southern end of the province. The roads will be stupid fun either way :)

Anybody ever ride Hurricane Mountain Road in Conway? It's only a small detour and I've been told it's a great little stretch of twisties...

Hi

I buddy and I were in NH this June. We rode Hurricane Mt. It was ok. Not my favorite road. Very bumpy and not in very good condition. A better run was Bear Notch.

that one twist at the left looks a bit dangerous... it looks like one could fall off the mountain if he/she falls down...

OP, wish you a very safe trip and hope the weather will be nice all the way. And finally enjoy the trip!

I just rode some of your route through the Adirondack's yesterday, going the other direction, beautiful riding area. Sounds like a great trip you've got planned.

It is advised that you should not do that trail at night. Most of the turns there are off cliffs, it follows the coastal line for miles.
If u look at the guard-rails you'll see the amount of vehicles that nearly went thru.

The cliffs can be so beautiful they are a distraction

Better keep your mind disciplined while making those turns
