Hayabusa insurance

Hey all. Great forum here. Im 33, GM License, no accidents, tickets, never even been pulled over (knock on wood)

I drive a 2009 Hayabusa currently insured with State Farm. I pay $195 a month - I live in North Oshawa.
I have a vw golf for my car, i pay that $120 a month - not with statefarm

I put next to no miles on the bike (its got 7000km total since i bought it new)

I know it doesn't seem like a lot of money, but paying close to $2500 a month for a bike I rarely drive hurts hard

Should I call anyone else? I would be willing to move my house and car if someone will not rape me on the bike.

thanks for any suggestions.

:p

TD melloch should be much cheaper for both

TD wouldn't cover a zx14, probably the same for a busa.....I ended up with sf as well, TD for the rest of the bikes though....

I have everything with state farm but my bike. 2013zx14r with TD meloche ..about 150 a month and I pay for 7 months and done, march to September.

TD will cover a busa and when grouped with a car might be cheaper than sf. It's worth the call. You can try an online quote but it's usually a little high

I have a 1999 Hayabusa With TD and they also insure my cars/home. I think I pay $1300 for full coverage ( annual cost over 7 payments ) and I am way over 30 lol.

Busabim

Same. I went to TD for my Busa, car, and house and it saves a fair bit in comparison to the other companies.

I pay $1400 on my '05 Busa with TD Meloche Monnex

So is that for a full year or just coverage for the 7 months?

If you bring your car to SF, your Busa premium will go down to about $117/month, as they reduce your motorcycle premium 40% when you get a multi vehicle discount.. Can't guarentee your car insurance won't go up.

I have a house, big one with top insurance and 4 cars with SF. I also had my bike insurance with them for 29 years. When I moved from the zx10 to the zx14r I decided to make a few calls. SF could not match TD. Only saving $200 a year but pays for my oil and filters for the year.

I'm with SF, 46 yrs old and live in east GTA. I have multi car discount and just got a wee strom for wife. I have full coverage with $500 deductible and pay $87 month (2003 Busa). I do have an older policy with an umbrella policy on top though.

TD should cover a Busa, I insure a 2013 ZX14R and it costs me 1065 a year. Also it was mentioned TD covers the remains insurance after the 7 months. That's not how it works. You pay over 7 months but it's prorated for 12 and the bulk of the money goes to prime riding months such as June, July and August. Those 3 months probably uses more than half of the money you pay. Last fall I sold my ZX10R and cancelled my insurance with 5 months remaining and all I got back from the was $95 for those 5 months. Most people don't ride in the winter so again it mostly goes towards the summer months but the coverage is still a full 12 months.

I just cancelled my sf car and home as they were charging me 1600 more than what i just got quoted. What makes it worse is I got it from desjardins who bought sf and I also got 2 mill lib. Sf says my bike will go up I say well u wrote the policy already and if it does go up I'll cancel that too and park the bike sick of this sf ripoff....

Not worth paying over 1600 to be with sf for a bike. Looks I might have to sell my bike and get a non blacklisted bike or sell my bike to my bro so he can insure ;)

For a comparison I called Duffy who uses Intact formerly Jevco. I hate Jevco as they were the ones who started the sportbike ban in the 80s.

Intact wanted 1150 ( liability only) for my busa and that is only next year when the bike is 16 years old.

F them all , insurance is a joke here in Ontario. I will be staying with TD.

Should be illegal to ban/blacklist bikes where can we complain as insurance is mandatory in onterrible.
