Having trouble fitting my new 8 cell ballistic battery in my 2005 cbr600rr. Its rubbing on the seat anyone know what I do to fix this issue. I didnt even think about it when I bought the battery and I fitted it at the track so, I didn’t want to just sit out of the whole day can so I used it. Any suggestions to what I can do to get it to fit.

Someone else will chime in I'm sure but ill just check that you know you can lay these in different positions to stock as im pretty sure they are leakproof. That might get you some wiggle room.

Let me guess: it won't fit because it is taller than the regular battery...

You may have to modify the battery box. Not familiar with your model, but super sports usually do not have enough room to put the Ballistic on its side.

Why wouldn’t Ballistic have a warning on the website for different model bikes if its to tall or need mod.

mines not a full race bike yet still using headlights on street and stuff.

I think the best way to fit your battery is to shave some of the parts of your seat, but my question why did you purchase a 8 cell ballistic battery if oem will be enough?

my battery was dead and they were 125 at Riderschoice and I heard they were good batteries.

I have an 8 cell in my '06 CBR600RR track bike. I molded a fibreglass battery holder that lays the battery on its side.
The rest of the inner fender and battery tray are missing on my bike so I had to make something to hold the battery. In your case you can probably use the foam packaging that the battery came in and cut it to shape to place the battery on its side in the existing tray.
