After all the talk in the recommended movie thread regarding the Hateful Eight.
I had some questions as maybe I missed something (I was 1/2 in the bag when I watched this movie).
If the 'general' wasn't a general and was just told to be one... what was the deal with S.L. Jackson recognizing the name and the whole business about the general's son that he supposedly killed? Did Jackson's character just make up the story to antagonize the old man and it worked -- is that supposed to be the story?
How did the 'hangman' have knowledge/details about an upcoming hanging or warrant that the future sheriff enquired about? Because there was a few moments that the future sheriff and the 'hangman' talked like they knew what was supposed to be going on in the city they were headed to.
