Has anyone seen this type of tire wear?

This is a Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC1 front tire off of an R6 track bike. This tire has about 6~8 track days on it. Pace is moderate, about 1:20 at TMP. Tire warmers are used. Tire pressure is 29 PSI hot. Has anyone seen these transverse cracks/gouges before? There are 12 of them of varying severity aound the tire. Any ideas as to what causes them?

Most likely very heavy braking at extreme temps.

Another reason I don't like track scrubs
 
Good guess Kellen! It looks like it's coming from the front of the trailer when I cinch down the bike up against it. There is a small sharp edge there that snags on the front tire. I'll change my tie down method (or spring for a real wheel chock).
