Have a suit that I'm trying to resurrect as the leather is quite hard from sitting in a hot basement. What's the best treatment for hard leathers?

I use leather new, available at tack (horse) stores.

I use Lexol but I heard SaddleSoap works as well.

Neatsfoot oil works wonders.
You’ll probably need to spend quite a few days applying it several times if it’s truly hard.
Personally, if my leathers are that dried out, I’d probably buy new ones.
