Halo Headlights

just curious

How do these work? Are they in conjunction with HIDs? Are they HIDs with weird projectors? How hard would the conversion be for my F4i?

I'd like to hear some recommendations as to how I can get these sorts of lights and what the set up might be. I really have no idea about lighting and wiring, as in to a point a conversion from my lights right now to HIDs would boggle my mind. I know it won't take long, but I'd like to do this over the winter.

Any recommendations as asked above would be helpful.

There are 2 different ways to do Halo's but both require baking your headlight housing to be able to peel it apart.

Projectors with the halo's built in ($250):

just straight halo's without projectors (Can be made for $15)
The pic is an RR but exact same steps.

Thanks.

Are these homemade halo's bright enough to be used as daytime running/low beams? If they are, what is now the supplement for high beams?

no, they're just accent lighting.

Thanks.

Definitely not bright enough for low beams at night, But you might be able to get away with them during the day up to just before dusk as I would assume they are close to the same brightness as the BMW ones (And I can see them during the day).
I might do the homemade ones over the winter and just run a switch in-line with the low beam and one for the Halo's, so that I can just run the Halo's by themselves oe turn them off and run the normal Hi and Lo's.

I couldn't decide between the Audi lights or Halo's, So I did Air Duct turn signals on my F4i as I didn't want to bake the headlight mid season and wanted to add something to the front end.
