Friday on the way home from work. I see this guy riding behind me on a 500 Ninja.
He was a few cars behind and was trying to catch up to me. He was stealing all my moves in traffic, trying desperatly to catch up to me.
When finally he caught me, I blocked his passage on purpose so that he could not pull beside me. Next light I did the same thing.
The next light, he pulled up beside me even though I had left no room for him.
I kindly asked him to keep his distance.

Listen, I am an instructor, and I know the kind of riders there are out there. And I trust nobody I don't know.

Why is is so important to other riders to come up beside another rider at a light, just to say hello.

I don't know you. I have no desire to get to know you, I don't trust you to do the right thing once we get into traffic.
As a matter of fact, almost every rider I have let come up beside me in my lane, to say hello has boned me in my lane, when we got riding down the road.
Or gotten in my way when I want to pass a car.

I will not ever let another rider get into my lane at a light.

Can somebody please explain the need to share my lane with me?

next time just pre-emptively flip the bird at every rider you see, chances are they will not come up to you.

There is "Trash talk" for rants. If you're an instructor then you should know that things like that happen. Posting about it on some website won't change it.

Move on.

Better bust out a Sham-Wow and clean up all those tears before someone lane splits up beside you and can't get enough traction with their flip-flops.

Could it be that your pipes are way too loud and they find the noise too annoying to sit behind you in traffic?

You are an instructor and don't know how to handle this?

Your turn signal was on, i flashed you a couple times with my hi-beams but you didn't noticed. So i wanted to tell you in person.

I don't do this myself, but don't really care if others do it. Never had a problem with it.

has boned me

I'm not sure that word means what you think it means.

p.s. How do you block someone's passage? I've had people filter through traffic and then do really stupid stuff beside me.

^ I was going to mention that too. If that's a possibility, I changed my mind and also don't want people stopping beside me at lights.

It's because all my friends know the low rider, the low rider is a little higher and a drives a little slower

I find the most effective way to deal with it is to tell them in no uncertain terms that your time of the month is approaching hard and fast and that you're not in the mood to **** around. When has that not been enough to get someone to keep their distance...after all that's what man caves where invented for ;)

Are you one of those dudes that from behind looks like a chick?? 'cause that should be illegal. No Blonde Mullets!!!

haha no, I've never EVER been mistaken for a chick. I have very short hair, mullets are only acceptable if your name is MacGyver and you can use a tooth paperclip and a Bic lighter to escape a jail cell and incapacitate all of the guards.

I hope mistaking dudes for chicks doesn't happen often to you, it wouldn't be very enjoyable.

I do this at times, but I don't attempt to catch up, and make it dangerous. 2 Bikes together is generally safer in the city then just by yourself, chances are the cagers are bigger morons and ******** drivers then the guy riding the motorcycle.

since he was copying your moves, you should've done a wheelie to see if he could pull that. i dont see a big deal.
