GSXR + Gravel

Alright some of you guys are probably at home waiting for this so here it is. Today after the charity wash my Gsxr met its match... Gravel. In the middle of a turn the rear wheel went over some gravel causing my bike to low side and become a slightly drunk looking street fighter .

And after inspection at the shop seems to be all cosmetic and fix able. Will keep you posted on request of the guys I was riding with. Thanks to the guys who were around and gave
me a hand. I am in perfectly good condition except a small scratch on my leg. No real rash.

Thanks to all you guys don't know ur screen names just real names that I won't list here.
Go nuts posting if before and after pics. Just avoid posting up my plates lol that's all I ask

Let the trolling begin

Bring on the pics! Sorry to hear about you going down on some gravel, I split after the wash

Glad to hear you're still okay! ((blue gs500f here [Brad]))
Shame no one got it on video. People should have some pictures up soon (I didn't have a camera, so I didn't take anything)
Hope the bike gets fixed soon so you can make that eagle fly!

I crashed last night doing like 10 km/h on a 130 degree left turn, they dug up a drain cover and left the gravel there, front wheel slid out, and had me wondering WTF WHERE IS THE GOD DAMN PYLON LETTING ME KNOW THERE IS CRAP HEREEE

oh crap, i dipped slightly earlier so didnt go on the ride with u guys, glad ur okay

Glad you're ok. That's why public roads should get scouted before any real spirited riding. They're not a nice well-groomed track and there's also popo out there. Remember that if you hit gravel, avoid using the front brake. Only rear and sparingly (don't wanna lock up) - been in your boots, learned since then.

Thanks everyone. I should hopefully be back out soon. It all depends on hoq quick I can source parts... The eagle aka my k8 head lights live to see another day. I'm a lil ****** about it but it coulda ended completely different as we all analyzed after. The moto limo dude said that he's picked up a few bikes this week roughly same area. One dude high sided the rest low sided.

My damn gopro died just before that ride so I don't got that on vid (damn it)

Why do you even care about the video?? As long as you're ok, that's all that matters.

your bike is extremely sexy looking and is making me highly considering getting a black/yellow k8 gixxer 600 as my next bike (whenever insurance will let up and my current one explodes lol)

that was slightly unrelated, but yeah.

bye bye black and yellow. might consider going all black. the yellow black scheme the fairings are almost double the price of all other colors. (way to go suzuki)

2012 Ninja 250, as I said on site, I am glad you are ok and you walked away intact... we'll see you around soon

Dang that sucks, black/yellow looks so good.

Glad you are ok and that the bike has only cosmetic problems. You should thank the thief for leaving your left frame slider on!

OP, glad to hear you weren't seriously injured.
+1 to those-that-shall-remain-nameless for helping out

Steve here [08 Ninja 250] Glad you're okay! I refrained myself from taking the after pics after the damage was done. If you can find some fairings in the states, ship them to CBIUSA in Buffalo! I'm pretty sure some of us wont mind making a day trip out of it. We'll head out there, pick up and install the plastics then go for a ride.

I like the sound of this ...

I was the red 250 that always had a kleenex in my hand due to my damn allergies. mrkyo was in better shape than me lol. After things calmed down I took the below pic from my iphone.

I had to add this one as well. Not the guy that lowsided. Never rid with some of you guys so not sure if you wanted your face in there.

glad you aren't hurt. any crash you can walk away from is a good one.

if you don't mind me asking, where was this crash?

King Vaughan rd and Kippling ave.

If you go riding around there, watch out for gravel. As you can see in the pictures, it's pretty far out on the road.
