Great work and service by Frekeguy

PM'ed him here on the GTAM forums on a Friday morning (I think) and he got back to me within an hour or two. Told him what my problem was (battery dying, charging system not working) and he knew right away what the likely issue was going to be. Told me to communicate with him via text messages and I told him since I use my work phone, I can only send text using WhatsApp. He didn't have WhatsApp on his phone BUT downloaded it right away and we were texting by lunch time. Said he would come by on a Sunday to pick up the bike and showed up exactly when he said would, loaded up the bike, told me what to expect in terms of time he would need and probable causes and fixes to my problem and left. Over the next week, he diagnosed the problem, gave me some options and had everything resolved and working properly, while giving me daily updates and asking how I wanted things to be handled. Not only did I get the bike back in perfect working condition within the time frame he specified, he looked over all aspects of the bike and told me what to look out for in the future and also did a bunch of unrelated work to help the bike run better. This is a guy who is not doing all this just for the money, he actually cares about about his work and has a genuine passion for bikes. When he dropped the bike off, he took the time to go over with me all the work he did, his opinion on the condition of the bike, what to expect from the bike going forward and then texted me later in the day to see if I had taken a ride yet and what I thought. This guy is awesome to have on your side, his prices are more than reasonable (especially given the amount of time and care he takes - I almost felt like I was stealing from him) and he picks up and drops off your bike when he says he will. I cannot give a more positive review and I think most other people who have had work done by him would agree.

Thanks Frekeguy, didn't know it could be this easy to get quality work done but now I'm going to expect this type of service everytime!

What area are you in? I was looking for someone in the Mississauga region but the one guy I was referred to that I messaged never replied to me. I already brought my bike to CycleWorld but I'd like to know for the future.

I'm downtown, I think Frekeguy is in Brampton or Caledon. He picked up and dropped off the bike for me so I didn't have to go anywhere

frekey is located in Brampton just north of Kennedy and Sandalwood, just PM him and talk to him, great guy with great service
