Grand Prix Cycle Innisfil

If you have this in writing file suit, have him served, and get it done with.

+1

Trying to find people on a forum seems like it might not be the best idea... at least should not be your main focus. Get a lawyer involved, thats the only way you will be able to apply pressure on this guy.

Depending on the structure of the the now defunct company it will be difficult to collect. He would have represented the company in making the agreement, if the corporation/company has no assets good luck in collecting personally from him. You may also be in a long line of suppliers, landlord etc, trying to collect money from him and his company.

Even in a limited corporation, illegal or deceptive practices can be held against the proprietor.

I look at it as a public service announcment and appreciate the OP message!!! On both fronts

I agree.

There are 2 sides 2 every story, neither of which are the truth in most of these situations.

If we go by your statement, then there would NEVER be a victim when someone does rip off another person. According to your statement, there are no thieves in existence. But if a common theme surfaces, because of the OP's heads-up then it is easier to recognize it. If you had an appointment to service your car at that dealership next week, are you not better off knowing to have your alert flags wisping in the air, than going in blind and ignorant?

If someone has done shady practices in the past, they don't get a free-pass by changing locations and/or company names. They have to earn back that trust, and what better way than trying to pay back prior debts?

You'll notice I clearly said "MOST!"

I've been witness to about 10 of these "UNHAPPY" customer situations on this site alone, from doing work at different bike shops in the GTA, being the proverbial fly on the wall.

I've been in the shop when customer X comes in and does not like a particular situation, then oddly, the details change significantly when they come on this site and state the "FACTS"

Does this happen all the time,, absolutely not, but it does happen, exactly the same way some people/shops will take advantage of a customer from time to time.

I could easily deal with you in your place of business and dislike something about this situation, then come here and make a bunch of unkind remarks.

Until you have the opportunity to provide your side of the story, is it really a public service announcement?

Yes you did. But I still think that in order for word to get out, and out that common theme, it requires being posted.
I can give you an example..how many times to do you hear of people having issues with SON? Now..for contrast, how many do you hear of any issues at Powersports? The point I am making is that once a person is armed with a heads-up, then they have to use their own discretion in choosing to deal with a company whose name comes up more often with negative feedback than others.

And in this case the OP is throwing stones at everyone and anyone.

He says he has a signed contract, so why are the terms of the contract not being executed via legal avenues?

The mechanic in question is now working for another company as an employee, he will have zero impact on that organization's business practices.

There are a TON of mechanics that are brilliant at fixing things, but running a business is not their strong suit, so things get a bit messed up, perhaps this is why the guy went back to being an employee.

Perhaps the guy went back to working on the tools only so he can pay this dude back?\

The way the average motorcyclist nickles and dimes these small shops to death, its no wonder they have problems and go out of business.

It also seems pretty obvious that no one else has had a similar experience(at least on this site) this thread has been bumped repeatedly by the OP and not one other relevant comment has been made.

Well just to update everyone on Mr Hazeltons where abouts. He has recently started work with Barrie Subaru not far from his failed shop in Barclay. I would just like to warn you if you have your car serviced at Barrie Subaru dont let Andrew Hazelton aka "Hazy" work on your car as it may become a lemmon soon after. Again all just bassed on my own experiance with Mr Hazelton. Nothing against Subarru of Barrie, they will just have to find out the hard way I suppose.

The History:

The death of GRAND PRIX CYCLE INNISVILLE: Have you been duped?

Hello this is not an attack on what was once a very bad motorcycle shop. Based on my own experiences with them. I am simply looking for anyone else who may be in simular shoes. I have a written contract from the owner of the shop "Hazy" stating that he will pay me owing monies due to poor work quality. Long story short his faulty work killed my motor and he agreed to buy a new one. I gave him one month to come up with the first installment. On the date scheduled for me to pick it up his cell phone goes dead, and no answer on the business line. I take a drive up to the shop and almost everything is gone. I'm looking for anyone else who may be owed monies or is in arrears with mr. Hazelton from the former shop Grand Prix Cycle.

Please contact me via email at dbbs4@hotmail.com There is power in numbers.

Thanx M.

I know of "Hazy" through mutual friends and have told them to make him aware of this thread a week or so ago.

I will say threatening his current employee status at Barrie Subaru is also a criminal act where the guilty party could face possible jail time. Sorry about your luck but this is not the place to be saying these kind of things. If you have a problem with Grand Prix which no longer exists write it in the reviews as a business not a personal attack.

You make some reasonable points, however, your 'repeatedly' sounded worse than it was though..he bumped it twice in same day and once more a week later. Every beef has to start somewhere and some time. I think that 9 days is a little early to deem this as a one-off just yet.
But also, making yourself unavailable buy turning your contact number off and not first calling up the customer to say that he won't be available, more resembles avoidance. And avoidance, more often than not stems from something you are trying to avoid.
Which do you hear about most often: Someone avoiding paying a potential debt? Or someone avoiding being the recipient of that payback?. If you don't agree then fine.

Your right how foolish of me. Where would you have a person place reviews? The buy sell section perhaps? LOL. It also may be hard to write a review with out mentioning his name as he was the shop owner and mechanic who personally worked on my bike. Im open for your ideas of how I should word it please feel free to do it for me. If I find it worthy I will dellete the original post. Im not a laywer just a fellow consumer. Juding by your post of deformation of character and its context i would say you are also a far cry from a laywer.

Obviously you understood me since you edited your original post.
