Grand Bend Motorplex Sept 30th Lapping Day (tentative)

Grand Bend Motorplex is hosting a trackday Sept 30th.

* This is not a Racer5 Trackday but I will be present and assist with the running of the day*


There will need to be 15 riders pre-registred by Thursday at Noon for this day to happen.

Red : Experienced Trackday Riders/ Racers
Safe passing allowed anywhere on the track.

Yellow: Intermediate level Trackday Riders
No passing once the bike you are attempting to pass has started leaning into a turn.
Passing during braking before a turn, and corner exit permissible as long as you maintain a minimum of 6 feet between yourself and the bike you are attempting to pass.

Green: Beginner level
No passing except for the front staights, maintain a minimum 8 feet between the bike you are passing.

Sept 30th Trackday Schedule
7:00am - Gates Open
7:15am - 8:30am - Tech Inspection, Registration
8:30am - 8:45 - Riders Meeting
9:00am - First track session starts
12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Track sessions resumes
5:00pm - End of Day

Wouldn't it be nice if things were scheduled ahead of time so people could get time off work if necessary.

This trackday has been on the schedule since the roadcourse opened.
If there is a low turn out it may be cancelled.

I plan alot of our days based on this calander, if it's not on the calander then how on earth do I plan for it?

Can someone make sure ALL track days are listed on there? All tracks should ensure their days are on the calander.

This will be run in the exact same long track configuration as SOAR intends to next weekend.
It's an excellent opportunity for racers wanting to get some extra seat time on the competition and trackday goes wanting to try out this fast track layout!

Once again if the numbers aren't their by Noon tommorow this day will get cancelled.

Since we have no registrations for tomorrow the Lapping day has been cancelled. With the current weather forecast for tomorrow it wasn't unexpected. We will be running the long course re the SOAR layout next Thursday Oct 6th and I expect SOAR will be doing the same on the Friday the 7th.
