Three weeks ago I went to GP Bikes and took an hour or two trying on, and buying new equipment. The sales rep who helped me with the process was and patient and willing to answer questions I had and I ended up buying an alpinestars gp-pro jacket, alpinestars sp-1 gloves and running with the bulls riding shoes. Earlier today I returned the SP-1s I bought because I found another pair on kijiji for a decent price. The pair I had returned were obviously unused and the time in between my initial visit and this visit I had been using a spare pair of old gloves.
I stayed in the store after returning the gloves and decided to check some other gear out. The same sales rep who had helped me during the first visit happened to be the guy on the floor this time around. He offered to help, and I politely told him I didn't need any. He came back to me sporadically to see if I needed anything. Each time he asked me if I needed help I told him I was good. After the last time I told him I didn't need his help he went over to his co-worker and told him not to bother with me because I'm just here wasting their time. I don't care if this is said about me after I leave the store, but to walk a few meters away from me, still within an earshot, and then say it is plain rude. The sad thing is, my intentions during that visit were to return the gloves and purchase a pair of riding jeans as well. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable after hearing what was said about me and I left the store quickly.
Long story short I'm unimpressed with that particular sales rep who works in the gear department.
edit: Tom, the manager of that department called me and we had a chat. He's a good guy and after talking to him we cleared some things up. This issue has been resolved with a high degree of professionalism.
