Glad to be the proud new owner of an M on my license
Thanks to this site and all the people that put up posts, it made the test a whole lot easier. I have a thing about practical tests that gets me very nervous. In the end it really was a just a normal ride with bodily exaggerations, shoulder checks, mirror checks, road scans. I did however have a bit of excitement on my road test. On the route that goes through the residential area where they ask you to perform the emergency roadside stop, there is a mentally challenged individual who stood in the middle of the road when I was at the 4 way stop. I waved to him to cross to which he stuck out his foot in an attempt to dare me to pass. I guess the instructors saw all of this because I didn't move an inch. A second later his instruction came over the speaker to make a right.
I did the emergency stop and was about to put my kickstand down when he told me to proceed. Two thoughts entered my mind, I did something wrong and I was out of demerit points or I actually performed it correctly. Turns out I performed it correctly because when we got back to the test centre he handed me my test results and I only had 2 points deducted. We laughed about that man in the road and as it turns out, he has done this a number of times on previous road tests and he recognizes the test car.
If anyone wants to know more about my experience, please feel free to ask.
Tony
