Well about a month ago anyway...FZ6 2007, fast blue. I think it will be agood bike to learn on. A lot faster than I thought. Really comes alive after 9000 rpm, but not looking for anymore tickets.
Took it for a hwy trip to Burlington, first time on the 400 series hwys. Ears are still humming from the wind but mostly from the damn exhaust!!!
 
Get a good set of ear plugs. It will help with your hearing for the long term as well.
 
My first bike too. You can do a little bit of everything with it, track, touring, dirt, commute, pose... so it's great to help you figure out what you like.

Definitely get ear plugs. All riders should.
 
Yes, they would be the best.
 
Get the orange foam plugs, they're good for 20-30 uses imo, -33db rated

Are you using the behind-the-head method? You *need* to pull your ear up from behind for a good 30-60seconds to get the foam to sit in there right.

No I'm not, I'll google that thanks. I just roll them tight, put em in and hold them until they've filled out. Worst thing is getting them set all nice and then bumping one when I put on my helmet.
