69 in a 50. $120.How much over?
Be thankful it wasn't a cop with a radar, pay the ticket and move on.69 in a 50. $120.
Did you admit you were the driver?Got a red light ticket in the mail a couple years ago. I found myself behind a semi and lost sight of the signals because the cab blocked them from my sight. Traffic in front and to the right of me were in motion so I proceeded. Went to court to fight the ticket. Explained the situation to the judge (backed with the evidence from the red light camera photos) and justified my safety conscience mind set at the time. I got the ticket reduced to less than half. It did not appear in my record even though one might consider it a moving offence. But because they can't identify the driver from the photo, it's a stationary offence just like a parking ticket.
Yeah. I got one of those Jan. 1, 2022. Happy bloody New Year from the OPP. This one came Dec. 28. Bookends.Be thankful it wasn't a cop with a radar, pay the ticket and move on.
Maybe "hammering" the long skinny pedal is the trouble.Next time I see a speed camera sign I'm hammering on the brakes, no matter who's behind me.
Why? It’s $120 and doesn’t go against your license.Fight it
As much as I hate this Big Brother intrusion, it appears that I don't have a fighting chance. As mentioned above, an attempt to fight could backfire should I admit to being the driver. My main concern is keeping a clear abstract. Looks like I'm screwed.Fight it

Or whiners. Speed cameras are often more about fundraising/appeasing connected whiners than safety.usually because that stretch of road has a history of accidents or pedestrian issues.
