Goodbye GTAM :(

Well the time has come and I hate to say but i'll miss this forum and the GTAM community. I met a lot of great people as well as one of my "best" friends because of this forum. I'm now a father of 3 and it's time to get a family vehicle...I know I can still keep the bike but I'm planning to use the subway ride to do my daily reading/studies. Bike is pending sale, even if it falls through... it shouldn't be too long before it's gone anyways :|

Now I face the tough decision of "family vehicle" and have to choose between: Honda Odyssey, or a Buick Enclave (I hate minivans, but the Honda is an exception because my bike never let me down!)

Thanks again GTAM! Ride safe everyone :)

Life decisions. Good luck. I gave up the bike before kids and got back into it and enjoy with my children now.

Go with a Pilot if you are a Honda fan and it's a better comparo to the Enclave.

Good luck with everything.

I would go with the Buick for the simple fact that insurance will be half as much, better warranty, better soundproofing. Honda has the advantage when it comes to resale value.

Op, I hear ya, last year, I exited the bike biz to focus on family. No regrets.....

Go with Honda, built better, more reliable, just better all around. Buick is gm crapola.

The all new 2016 Pilot is released soon, its better than the 2015 boxy type available now. Odyssey is great choice too, and some huge rebates and discounts on em now.

Sitting in my Odyssey right now...LOVE IT! New Pilot looks pretty sweet but still prefer the van. 3 boys and 2 dogs to cart around ;)
FYI...it is parked beside the bike. The kids love the bike more than I do and all can go with me in turn.

You'll be back...

You'll be back...
This isn't goodbye. Just an undefined, unwanted time away. We'll see you again soon. GTAM won't make another one of you HuKo.

I have an Odyssey. With three teenage boys, it's the only thing that they'll fit in with their size fourteen feet. If your kids are growing, even if they're girls, then I'd get the eight seater van. Much nicer to put your stuff in the back, and the kids in the middle, than have the stuff in front of them. You could also test the new KIA. The dealer way out here, either didn't want to sell us a 2015, or didn't know about them.

Gee, I so much regret my decision not to have kids.

Seeya in a while Huko.

I'm a huge fan of the pilot, as I now have one (2005), so I can compare it to the Enclave. As much as I love it, I miss my Caravan when I have to haul the kids and the stuff around. Forget the negative connotations, go with the minivan.

Whatever you do, don't buy a Buick. My wife's rendezvous was a nightmare. What a POS! Never again...

I'm a huge fan of the pilot,.........

You seem to enjoy drawing attention to your burgeoning size at every opportunity. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Like every one said...this is your time off from riding. You'll see ...your kids might wanna ride some day! No better feeling in the world than father and son riding together!

Look ma! made it to 1000!

Trying to sell my 2014 Honda Odyssey if interested!
PM me and we can chat about it! =)

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I'm leaning towards the Enclave as my kids are still fairly young 5, 4, and 2 months. I recently discovered the enclave.. to be honest I was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious it was compared to other SUVs. I just find the Minivans too "boxy"... as for the newer models it's not in my range of budget (One of the reason for me selling the bike).

I went over to my garage, turned on the bike for the fist time since I put it away..just so there's not surprise when the potential buyer comes this weekend. It fired up instantly and started to roar like a beast! Toce exhaust is just so amazing...I'm already feeling the pain even before selling it

LOL you kill me! I think you are the only one that read it like that.

Huko, when you take the Enclave for a test drive, please take the strollers and diaper bags with you. Then make a stop at the grocery store. It won't be as spacious as you think.
