It's actually called "bullet drop" due to gravity.

When there's much further distances, there's what it is called the "Coriolis Effect", which takes in to consideration the rotation of the earth! This is something snipers have to train for.

That's what the snipers partner (spotter) watches to put the shooter back on target if he misses the first shot. You call the impact by following the swirl and tell them how far off they are.

943 yards is 860 meters. With a .300 ultramag and a target that size it's..... not a hard shot. That gun could take a smaller target at 1200M. (Bit over 1300Y)

Any first shot kill is a good shot but if you have the dope on it, it's easy.
