Very nice, inspirational story. But...he has to start race 1 dead last because of having no points. Finishes race 1 second to last, then
looks like he starts race 2 very near the front? I really did enjoy the film, but scripted / staged for sure is my guess.

Heat 1 is determined by points standings, Heat 2 is determined by your results from previous Heat.

BTW, thats the actor from Nip Tuck show....he played the son.
